Meet the Jury – SIPAM 2025

We are honored to welcome Mr. David Harold, cultural producer and co-chair of AF&C – the organization coordinating the Festival Off d’Avignon – as a member of this year’s SIPAM jury.
With a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Performing Arts, Mr. Harold has dedicated over two decades to the development of literature and performing arts in France. From 1997 to 2007, he worked as program manager at the Maison des écrivains et de la littérature, creating platforms for writers in schools and universities.
In 2008, he took over the artistic direction of Théâtre de Die (Drôme), officially recognized as a stage conventioned Art en Territoire in 2014. From 2018 to 2022, he led the Prix du Jeune Écrivain association in Haute-Garonne, fostering literary talent among young writers.
Alongside his institutional work, he has built a strong presence in independent performing arts as a producer and distributor, managing theatres in Avignon such as Rouge Gorge, Archipel, and Atypik—active throughout the year. Since 2022, he has co-chaired AF&C, playing a key role in shaping the dynamics of one of Europe’s most important performing arts platforms.

AF&C (Avignon Festival & Compagnies) is the coordinating body behind the Festival Off d’Avignon—one of the largest performing arts gatherings in Europe. Each summer, the Off brings together thousands of artists, producers, and professionals in a dynamic independent showcase that highlights creative freedom, experimentation, and dialogue.
