We are Sorin Dorobanțu and Nuti Dorobanțu, professional puppeteers from Arad ROMANIA, specializing in puppets. The Theatre on Wheels was born from the desire to experiment and express ourselves freely in both indoor and outdoor performances. Our biggest challenge was to oversize the classic puppet. This is how our first giant puppet and the first from our country was born, the Ballerina-Gigalateea, having a height of 3m, but also other fantastic characters that are also oversized (the clown girl-Mirabela (3m), the Giant Gorilla-King (3.5m), the Mermaid-Water Fairy (3m), the Dragon-DINO (4m long), the Ballerina-Gigalateea (3m), the Giant Tricycle and the Giant Dress – Flower Fairy. Loving at the same time the interaction with the audience, we chose to build interactive shows for all ages, shows that can be performed both in performance halls and in unconventional spaces. Our main field of activity being shows for children, we developed an entertainment area based on puppet and puppet shows, live music, interactive games, circus elements and fantastic characters on stilts. At the same time, we discovered incredible ways of expression and communication, introducing into the process creative people, people with physical and mental disabilities, Autism and Down Syndrome who have adapted extraordinarily as actors, bringing a great deal of emotion and sensitivity to our shows.
