KLARA Theater Produktionen is an independent Swiss theatre company.
KLARA produces international co-productions focusing on human rights and global inequality.
Its work combines documentary theatre with elements of physical theatre and is based on extensive research.
The company has performed at numerous international festivals in Latin America and Europe.
Two productions are currently on tour: «Palmasola – A Prison Village», which is about Bolivia's largest detenion center, and «Dos Vidas. Zwei Leben.», a highly energetic and personal production about the 'lottery of birth', based on the different biographies of the two actors – one from the streets of Bolivia, the other from a European middle-class background.
KLARA also presents its productions as site-specific urban interventions.The next project, 'Future Syria' (working title), is a co-production with young Syrian and European theatre makers.
