The Off Avignon Festival was created in 1966. e Off d'Avignon is today the largest live show market in France. It is one of the largest gatherings of independent companies in the world by the richness and diversity of its cultural offerings. In 2025, 1,735 shows are scheduled in all disciplines and more than 25,000 performances are given every July to over 300,000 spectators in more than 250 venues.
