Cia Circonstance is an independent contemporary circus company founded in late 2021 in Salvador, Brazil, by artists Pauline Zoé (Belgium) and Alexis Ayala (Chile). Blending circus with dance, theater, and abstraction, the company explores the expressive potential of bodies in collective creation. Cia Circonstance currently tours with three shows—Reptar, Por Acaso, and Esfera—and has performed at major cultural events and theaters in Brazil. Alongside Por Acaso, the artists also founded Núcleo de Circo, a space for circus training, creation, and performance, supported by the local Department of Culture.
