Alicia Adams has been active in the field of arts management and international presenting for over three decades. As Vice President of International Programming at The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., she has curated and produced major international festivals featuring artists from Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Australia, and Canada.
Her most recent initiative, RiverRun, is a ten-year project (2023–2030) exploring global culture and climate change through the lens of rivers and water. The festival combines artistic vision with urgent environmental themes, offering a multidisciplinary dialogue between art and nature.
